I am a visual learner. Every meeting I host involves some sort of charting so I can SEE what we need to accomplish and where we need to go.
I’m excited then to have video examples to show teachers of Reader’s Workshop in action from both Regie Routman (we have one of her Transforming Your Teaching Kits) and Fountas and Pinnell’s Teaching for Comprehension and Fluency. However, these examples are all set in the upper elementary grades.
Today I’ve spent a considerable about of time searching the internet for videos showing Reading Workshop in grades K-2, but I’ve found little.
Do you know of video examples which I can use to facilitate our move to a Reading Workshop with minilessons in grades K-5?
